Yes, there are a limited number of complementary parking spaces at the hotel for our attendees. There are additional parking spaces available at the Park Rite, Pavilion, Dún Laoghaire car park, which is less than 5-minute walk from the hotel. Please note these additional parking spaces are not complementary.
All conference talks are given in English.
The hotel hotel is open 24 hours. However, the conference venue is not open for attendees until 8:00 AM.
The Royal Marine Hotel is our conference venue and our recommended hotel. You can contact the hotel directly to enjoy a special rate for our attendees of 185 EUR per night.
Our catering service will provide food options for most diets. If you have a specific diet, please let us know when you buy your ticket (It is one of the questions in the registration form).
While our volunteer team is currently complete, we might have very few slots open closer to the event, in which case we will post about them on social media.

Yes, you can submit a proposal via our call for proposals. Please note that some deadlines apply.
We will be at the venue the day (24th September 2024) before the conference from 16:00 to 17:00. You can pick up your badge then. If you cannot make it, you can pick up your badge on the conference days from 8:00 AM. There will be different queues based on the last name of the attendee.
When getting your badge, you will have the choice between two types of lanyards:
- Black Lanyard: This signals to our photographer that you're okay with being in pictures.
- Red or (another bright colour) Lanyard: This signals to our photographer that you would prefer not to be in pictures.
Before publishing our official event photos, we double-check and remove any photos that show identifiable people with red lanyards. We would also like to ask attendees to please avoid taking and publish pictures that have other attendees with red lanyards in them.
Please note that there might be a large group photo opportunities (the "family photo"). If you do not wish to be in this photo, please don't join the group photo.

Yes, we have and enforce a code of conduct.
Please contact us if you can only pay by bank transfer (instead of Paypal or credit card) or require an invoice.
Under Irish and European taxation law, event organizers must charge the VAT rate applicable in the place of supply. The place of supply for the purposes of supply of cultural, artistic, sporting, educational and entertainment services would be the place where those services are physically carried out. Because the place of supply is where the “event” is actually taking place it means VAT must be charged at the applicable rate in which the event occurs. This is best outlined by way of example.
Your ticket includes breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks on both days, and finger food and a couple of drinks during both networking events.
Yes, we understand Wi-Fi and internet access are important, so our venue is equipped with all modern 5GHz Wi-Fi that works.
Yes, Upon arrival at registration, you will receive a conference welcome pack that contains your identification badge, some swag, and some information about the event and our sponsors.
We are planning two networking events that will take place after the talks on both days. The networking events will include a couple of drinks and some finger food.

Accessibility FAQ
JSDayIE aims to be an inclusive and accessible conference. We understand that accessibility is complex and realize everyone has unique needs. As a result, we do have some accessibility initiatives that help us to set a good baseline.
Yes, the venue is fully accessible.
If you couldn't buy an early bird ticket because your accessibility question couldn't be resolved in time before they became unavailable, we're happy to make sure you can still buy an early bird ticket. Please get in touch if this is relevant to you.
Any assistant personnel accompanying you won't need to purchase an additional conference ticket. We just need to know if they'll be attending, please let us know. A support person is necessary to protect the health and safety of the person with impairments/disabilities during the travel and/or events.
The conference and networking event takes place at The Royal Marine Hotel. The venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users. The conference will take place in different areas of the hotel. Including a room for coffee breaks and sponsors. The main stage is located in the main hall. The main hall is a large room with theater-style seating. The event space is equipped with clear signage pointing to everything you might require to find.
For people who need frequent stops and rests, our main venue is equipped with seating throughout.
Due to the variety of sign languages and the unpredictability of actual needs, we do not offer any dedicated sign language interpretation at the moment, but we are open to discussing options with anyone who makes this a requirement for attendance. Please get in touch.
For people with hearing impairments and for people who prefer reading subtitles, we provide real time presentation captioning. Transcriptions will be available in our videos once we upload them to our youtube channel.
Our over 350 attendees, speakers and personnel will be moving around and networking during the breaks. It migh get busy and noisy during the breaks. During the talks, the audio from the main stage will be audible in the background throughout the main hall. During the breaks, our audio/video artists will add ambient sound and lighting. We are working with our artists to keep it as relaxed as possible. Outside light sources will be dimmed in the main hall during the day, but there are multiple outside areas for people to recharge on sunlight.
